Program: protected program
Description: This error means there is a mismatch between the data in the dongle and your protected software.
It probably occurred because you ran DDAdd once to program the dongle and then changed some of the protection parameters before running it again to lock your software.
To be precise, the following values must match: SDSN, Product Code, dongle model. The dongle number must also be within the valid range if you have used this option.
The extended error shows exactly what is not matching:
9 - wrong product code
d - dongle number not in range
28 - wrong SDSN (are you using the demo dongle/software?)
d7 - wrong model
Solution: To prevent this error it is best to protect your software and program the dongle at the same time by selecting the “Lock software and program dongle” option on the More Details tab of DDAdd.
If you are using the DLL protection method, this error often occurs because the protected program is calling a DLL other than the one you expected it to. It is worthwhile searching your computer for other DLL files with the same name as the one you are protecting (e.g. dd32.dll) and removing or renaming them.
